For the Newborn Rhythms mobile application. Last updated: October 31, 2026.
This page explains how to delete your Newborn Rhythms account and the personal
and health data associated with it. You can delete your account yourself from
within the app, or request deletion by email if you no longer have the app
installed.
Option 1: Delete your account in the app
This is the fastest way and takes effect immediately:
Open Newborn Rhythms and sign in.
Go to your Account screen.
Tap Delete account and confirm.
This permanently deletes your account and erases your associated data from your
device and from our cloud storage.
Option 2: Request deletion by email
If you no longer have the app installed, email us and we will delete your account
and data for you:
Please send the request from the email address associated with your
account (the email you use with Google or Apple sign-in). To protect
your account, we may take reasonable steps to verify your identity before
deleting. We will process verified requests within 30 days.
What gets deleted
Your account and sign-in identity (the account created when you signed in with Google or Apple, including the email address and display name stored by the app).
The health and care entries you created for the mother and newborn.
Sharing relationships and invitations associated with your account.
Your data stored on your device and in our cloud database (Google Cloud Firestore).
Copies of exported records that you saved or sent elsewhere through your
phone's share sheet (for example, to your files or in an email) are not
removed. They are wherever you saved or sent them, outside the app. Our
Privacy Policy describes the export.
What may be retained
After deletion, some information may remain in routine, time-limited backups for
a short period before it is overwritten, and we may retain limited records where
we are required to do so by law. Five kinds of information are kept on purpose:
Feedback you submitted through the in-app “Send
feedback” feature is kept in de-identified form (with the link to your
account removed) to help us improve the app.
Purchase-screen and locked-feature records (which step of the
Supporter screen you reached, or which locked feature you reached) are kept in
de-identified form (with the link to your account removed) so that our counts
stay accurate.
Voice-input request logs are not removed when you delete your
account. They never contain what was said, and they expire on their own after
about 30 days. Our Privacy Policy describes what they
hold.
Crash reports are not linked to your account, so they are not
removed when you delete it. They never contain your health entries. Firebase
keeps them for 90 days and then begins deleting them. Our
Privacy Policy describes what they hold.
Technical information from Google's ML Kit, the on-device
reader behind barcode scanning on Android and reading an ingredient list
from a photo, is not linked to your account, so it is not removed when you
delete it. It never contains a photo, a barcode or your health entries. Google has
not published how long it keeps it. Our Privacy
Policy describes what it holds.
If you previously shared data with another person, information they have access
to may be handled under their own account; if you have questions about shared
data, contact us using the address above.
